Wound Care Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview:

We are expanding our services to include wound care and currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in wound management and demonstrate expertise in providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic wounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and evaluating wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
  • Implementing evidence-based wound care protocols and techniques.
  • Performing wound debridement, dressing changes, advanced biologics, and other wound care procedures.
  • Monitoring and documenting wound healing progress.
  • Educating patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff on wound management techniques and prevention strategies.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Virginia.
  • Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in wound care.
  • Proficiency in wound assessment, treatment modalities, and wound care products.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Wound Care Medical Assistant

Location: Roanoke, VA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with chronic or acute wounds, ensuring optimal healing and recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document wound healing progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to assist with the implementation of wound care treatment plans with patients.

  • Perform wound dressings and assist with other wound care procedures.
